The development of the Trussville Municipal Campus will be an expression of forward-thinking growth for Trussville, not only bringing together city functions, but exemplifying sustainable development strategies for its current and future citizens. The campus is designed to be flexible, resilient and an invitation to enjoy, explore and learn. The extension of the Greenway through the campus and the addition of a trailhead with parking allows residents to access the site’s park and open spaces, while providing an additional starting point for walkers, runners and bikers to access the greenway. The site is intended to be educational; providing opportunities for stormwater infiltration, native and drought tolerant plantings and responsible water use - all contributing to ground water aquifer recharge.
