PIVOTAL GRAND PRAIRIE

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX

PLOT Studio collaborated with Pivotal Residential, 5th Dimension Architects and CESO to create a distinctive outdoor experience for this multifamily community in Grand Prairie, Texas. The landscape was designed as an extension of the architecture, connecting the buildings and amenities through a cohesive sequence of welcoming and comfortable spaces for residents.

At the center of the community, the pool courtyard offers a variety of ways to gather, relax and spend time outdoors. The pool, covered pavilion, fire feature, seating areas and surrounding landscape work together to create distinct zones while maintaining an open and connected atmosphere. Thoughtful circulation and planting help define each space, soften the architecture and provide a sense of privacy within the larger courtyard.

The material and planting palettes draw from the character of North Texas, combining local stone, warm natural tones and native and regionally appropriate plant material. These elements give the community a strong sense of place while supporting a landscape that is durable, comfortable and suited to the local climate.

The landscape establishes the identity of the development and creates an environment that feels inviting, connected and memorable for residents.
